Arcanum is protected by a volunteer fire department and emergency medical responders who serve the village and surrounding township.

In an emergency

Call 911 for any fire, crash, or medical emergency.

For non-emergency questions — burn permits, inspections, or station tours — call the village office at 937-692-8500.

The department welcomes new volunteers. Training is provided; ask at the village office for an application.

Open burning is regulated by Ohio EPA and village ordinance. Call before you burn to confirm current conditions.

Firefighters can help residents test alarms and replace batteries on request.

Please keep hydrants clear of snow, plants, and parked vehicles year-round.
