Village Income Tax

Arcanum's municipal income tax is administered by the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA). Filing, payments, and refunds are handled on the RITA website.

File and pay with RITA

Residents and anyone earning income in the Village file municipal income tax returns through RITA. You can file electronically, make estimated payments, and set up a payment plan there.

What you should know

Who must file
Residents of the Village and non-residents who work in the Village generally must file an annual return.
Annual deadline
Municipal returns are due on the same date as the federal individual return, typically April 15.
Employer withholding
Employers withhold and remit village income tax through RITA on the standard monthly or quarterly schedule.
Estimated payments
If you expect to owe, quarterly estimated payments help you avoid interest and penalties.
